In honor of our beloved Sister Frances Lucettia Love Frelix, Priest Lake Community Baptist Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Travis Tullis, is excited to award the Inaugural Frances Lucettia Love Frelix Scholarship to a Christ believing young woman with a desire to serve The King, Jesus Christ, in the Kingdom of God. It is Priest Lake Community Baptist Church desire to support the deserving candidate’s pursuit of education in the Fall semester 2023 at a college, university, or trade school.

Frances Lucettia Love Frelix was raised in Nashville, TN and graduated from Meigs High School where she received her education from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She received her Associates Degree from The University of Tennessee at Nashville. Frances became an entrepreneur and not only owned her own word processing company but was also the CEO of her own trucking company (LT Unlimited). She retired from SunTrust Bank after many years of service but continued to enjoy her career as a Real Estate Agent.

Doing the Lord’s business was her priority. Frances Lucettia Love Frelix was an ordained Deaconess, Minister, Biblical Counselor, and Assistant Pastor at Priest Lake Community Baptist Church. She worked wherever needed and did whatever needed to be done to bring souls to the Lord. Over the years Frances served in several capacities including Priest Lake’s Outreach Ministry – going door to door across many communities in the city to tell people about Christ. Frances was an active member of the Prison Ministry and spent many hours bringing others to the Lord. But what she is most celebrated for is being the first Director of the Revelational Knowledge Institute (RKI) which was established in 1999. She was passionate about education and spent tireless hours developing the curriculum, identifying instructors, and mapping out a comprehensive program for RKI. One of her many missions was to help others grow as she watched God do the work - perfecting of the saints.

Frances mentored and encouraged other young women to grow in the Lord and in their various careers as she met them where they were. She had a genuine love for people and wanted everyone to know the Holy Spirit lives within and will change you from the inside out. She led by example and displayed a servant leader’s heart in every aspect of her life. One of her favorite scriptures was, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Ephesians 3:20. Her legacy lives on as we continue to attend RKI classes today.

In 2006, she co-authored a book with Bishop Harold J. Frelix, Sr., entitled How to Know the Unhindered Flow of God’s Revelation. She was a woman of unwavering faith who continuously poured into those around her. She had a heart for God, His people and His word and served him until her death in 2007. As she lived her life unselfishly, she shared her love for the Lord and her wisdom. Frances Lucettia’s Love Frelix’s legacy lives on through the many people she touched and the work that she did in her community to bring others to Christ.
