Sunday Worship - "Applying God's Word In Our Lives - Part 2"

James 1:22-23 says, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass."

Pastor Derrek Kegler continues to emphasize the importance of "Applying God's Word in Our Life." The focus scriptures are James 1:19-27.

To apply God's word in our lives, we must dedicate time to prayerfully seek revelation while reading, studying, and meditating on His word. Through this practice, we gain an understanding of God's word, enabling us to be of good use to others.

Applying God's Word in our lives helps us learn how to respond with grace when we are offended by others. While there are spiritual and fleshly responses, the Bible in the book of James, advises us on how to respond spiritually, as James 1:19-20 states: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God."
