Resurrecting Day - "The Day Death Died and Life Began"

Apr 20, 2025    Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 says, "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

On this Resurrection Sunday of 2025, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reflected on Jesus Christ conquering of sin and death as Christ rose with all power and authority. The focus scriptures are Luke 24:1-8, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57and 2 Corinthians 5:19-20.

"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words." Luke 24:6-8. This passage reminds us of the importance of Jesus's ultimate promise of everlasting life.

When Jesus rose, He defeated sin and death, and as a result, we now have access to the Holy of Holies. Consequently, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ has given us an opportunity to have a relationship with God. In fact, as believers in Christ Jesus, with our new relationship with Him, we can now learn how to love others through loving God with His Holy Spirit leading the way.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together by encouraging us to recognize that the Resurrection has brought us reconciliation with God; therefore, we can now come to Jesus and find rest from all our burdens.
