Sunday Service - “Scoop the Poop” Part 3
The biological process through which children are brought into the world is only the beginning. With the gift of a child comes the serious responsibility of providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they can flourish. Parenthood is not merely a physical outcome—it is a sacred trust. Psalm 127:3-4 says “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.”
Pastor Dr. Alex Stephens continues to challenge us with a powerful truth that blessings are not just gifts to enjoy; they are assignments to steward. When we refuse to do the necessary work, we are incongruent —out of alignment with God’s Word. This is not just limited to life, marriage, and singleness but it applies to raising and supporting children. In part three of the ongoing series, “Scoop the Poop,” the focus scriptures are Psalm 127:3–5, Matthew 18:1-5, 1 Samuel 8:1-5, and Esther 2:5-7.
Whether you are a biological parent or not, it is essential to recognize that raising and supporting a child requires a healthy village. This is a collective effort that involves extended family, friends, mentors, and caring individuals in the community. Each person has a unique role in nurturing, protecting, and guiding the next generation.
Thank you, Pastor Dr. Stephens, for delivering this strong word from the Lord. Your message encourages us to move forward and higher together in unity and strength, reminding us to count the cost of our commitments while remaining faithful stewards of the blessings God has given us.
