Sunday Service - “Fruitfulness: The First Assignment Given to Image Bearers”

Jan 11, 2026    Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis

The ongoing series, "Forward & Higher Together: A Call to Fruitfulness," continues to convey the central message and vision provided by Senior Pastor Travis Tullis. This second part of the series invites reflection on fostering fruitfulness in everyday life. “Fruitfulness: The First Assignment Given to Image Bearers.”

Modern culture equates blessings with comfort, ease, and avoiding hardships, but this impedes personal growth.  In Genesis, however, God first establishes human identity—"Let us make man in our image"—emphasizing unique dignity and purpose. After affirming identity, God blesses humanity, not just for comfort, but to prepare and empower them for their role. Genesis 1:28 confirms this message, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

In alignment with the commitment to fruitfulness while maintaining a Christ-centered approach, we are encouraged to share the gospel by recounting our personal testimony to glorify God. The mission of Priest Lake Church is to evangelize individuals who have not yet converted—this is identified as outward fruit. Furthermore, supporting and guiding believers toward spiritual maturity is upward fruit. Producing significant results in God's Kingdom is called Kingdom fruit.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, and for reminding us that we must become fruitful image bearers to fulfill God’s original plan in our lives.
