Sunday Worship - "Applying God's Word in Our Lives" Part 3
1 John 2:15-16 reminds us, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world”.
Pastor Derrek Kegler continues to teach us that "Applying God's Word in Our Life" is like eating every day; it must be done daily for nourishment, so we don't conform to this dark world. The focus scriptures are Romans 12:1-21 and 1 John 2:15-17.
When Christ gave His life for our sins, He offered the ultimate sacrifice, establishing a way for us to have a better covenant with God. Consequently, in response, we are called to present our bodies as living sacrifices, following the example set by Christ. The Apostle Paul encourages us to practice this calling in Romans 12:1-2: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Thank you, Pastor Kegler, for delivering this powerful word from God, which will help us go forward and higher together by remembering that applying God's Word in our lives will transform us and move us into His marvelous light.
