Sunday Worship Service-"Embrace Your Identity in Christ Jesus"
Cleaning out emotional burdens and addressing unconfessed sin are essential steps in “Embracing Your Identity in Christ Jesus.” This process allows us to be transformed through confession of our sins into new creatures through Jesus Christ. As stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Senior Pastor Travis Tullis emphasizes that our self-perception must align with what God says about us to fully embrace our identity in Christ Jesus. The focus scriptures are Psalm 34:18, Isaiah 59:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:1, Romans 8:17, 1 John 3:1, Philippians 3:13-14, Proverbs 29:18, Ephesians 2:10, Colossians 1:14, and 1 Peter 2:9.
Colossians 1:14 informs us that we are forgiven and redeemed, while 1 John 3:1 provides confirmation that we are adopted children of God, and Romans 8:17 states that we are joint heirs with Christ. This must be remembered, every day, as we reflect on our identity in Christ Jesus.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, and for encouraging us to understand that we must grasp our identity in Christ Jesus to move forward and higher together as we are peculiar people of God and members of a royal priesthood.
