"From The Crucifixion To Resurrection"

Mar 31, 2024    Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis

“From the Crucifixion to Resurrection,” Jesus Christ paid the price for the fall of mankind which means that He sacrificed himself to take away the sins of the world.

In scriptures, 1 Peter 3:18-20, Romans 8:29, 8:15-17, Genesis 3:15, Luke 16:19-25, and Acts 1:1-11, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reminds us through those scriptures to remember that when we suffer with Christ, we will later reign with Him.

Jesus was nailed to a tree as this was a representation of Adam’s original sin of eating from the forbidden tree, nails were driven into his hands, just as Adam and Eve used their hands to eat the fruit from the tree that was prohibited.

In addition, there were nails in His feet as this was the prophecy written in Genesis 3:15 which says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” The piercing in His side represented Eve who was taken from Adam’s rib. Then, Jesus receives the Crown of Thrones which signifies His triumph over sin and death.

The third day after the crucifixion Jesus arose on Sunday, the first day of the week. By this, Jesus represents the first fruit because He is the first resurrection. During the time between the crucifixion, and the resurrection, Jesus’s spirit went down below to proclaim victory over death. This means as believers in Christ, we already have the victory, therefore; we must learn about this victory in Jesus Christ while we are here on earth.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together by reminding us that Jesus rose on the third day so that we can have resurrection power and glory in paradise when Jesus comes back for us.
