"The Divine Paradox: The Fear and Love of God" PART 4
“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” (Luke 12:4-6). God wants us to transform our fear of man and direct it towards the One who created the universe and has the power to judge all of humanity.
In our final ongoing series, “The Divine Paradox: The Fear and Love of God,” Senior Pastor Travis Tullis encourages us to understand Jesus’s warning on “Whom To Fear,” which is a life-changer for our relationship with God. The focus scriptures are Luke 12:1-7.
We are valued and cared for by God, which allows us to take our worries and anxiety to Him. As a result, we no longer should fear what man has to say or what man can do because our God is so powerful, and He has the last word. When our fear of God is greater than anything or anyone, we can walk in obedience and become disciples and ambassadors of His light. Authentic faith removes lies, creates healthy fear, and develops confidence in God’s love, bringing us to the assurance that we have peace and joy that the world did not give and cannot take away when we have Christ. This allows us to flourish in the community of believers.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, and for encouraging us to understand that once fear and love are in its proper places, we will have security, safety, love, power, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7).
