"God's Will for You"
People have traditions and holidays to honor the ones they love, but “God’s Will for You” is to honor Him and keep His commands by having a joyous heart. Senior Pastor Travis Tullis describes how we can receive God’s will for us during these times through scriptures 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
Many people feel overwhelmed by the excitement of the holiday season. This excitement can cause us to become anxious and be consumed with only tradition and not God’s will for us to rejoice in Him. When God is first in our lives, all traditions and holidays can be enjoyed with an understanding of God’s will for us is to give thanks in everything. With thanksgiving in our hearts, while fellowshipping with others, gives us strength to endure the burdens of the world; therefore, we must give thanks daily. The blessing of salvation gives us so much to be thankful for through Jesus Christ. Peace and safety are in the Lord’s hands but if we forget God in our thanksgiving celebrations, achieving pure joy becomes a burden.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us to go forward and higher together by knowing that real thanksgiving is every day when we come together in Jesus’s name.
