Sunday Service - "Free In Christ/Break Every Chain"
When a prisoner is set free, they are released from captivity—no longer bound by walls, chains, or the control of their former confinement. Naturally, they don’t choose to remain in prison once they’ve been freed. This brings us to the question: Why, as believers who have been set free by Christ, do we so often return to the bondage and strongholds that keeps us captive to sin?
Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reminds us that every spiritual chain can be broken in Christ Jesus; therefore, we can now allow ourselves full freedom to take control of our lives. The focus scriptures are Joshua 1:9; Ephesians 1:2, Ephesians 4:27; Romans 6:14; Galatians 5:1; Galatians 5:16; Matthew 6:14; John 8:32; Colossians 1:13.
If we confess, repent, and renew our minds, we can accept the reality of freedom, walk in the Spirit and use our spiritual weapons to overcome. We can then share our testimony, support and encourage one another as we travel through the Kingdom together, overcoming the enemy's lies and oppression.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, and for encouraging us to understand that we don’t have to believe the lies from the enemy of unforgiveness and shame. We as believers have been set free and transformed with a brand-new identity in Christ Jesus.
