Sunday Service - “Power of Humility”

In his letters to the church in Philippi and Macedonia, Paul the Apostle emphasizes the importance of unity and humility among Christian believers. He urges the church to be like-minded with the type of humility that is rooted in the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:8.

Elder Charlie Davidson reminds us about the “Power of Humility.” The focus scriptures are Philippians 2:1-8.

 “If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Philippians 2:1-3.

Paul highlights the significance of putting others before ourselves, which is the opposite of the world we live in today. Therefore, we must transform our minds to have the mind of Christ, to follow his example of loving one another.
