Sunday Service - "Awaiting the Bridegroom: Hope in His Coming" Part 2

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:13, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” This verse serves as the foundation for the theme: “Awaiting the Bridegroom: Hope in His Coming.” It is an urgent call to all believers to live in a state of readiness, anticipating the glorious return of Jesus Christ.

In this message, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis emphasizes a profound truth: the Church is the true Bride of Christ, and we must prepare ourselves for His promised return.  The focus scriptures—Genesis 1:26–28, Genesis 2:24, Matthew 25:1–13, and 1 Timothy 3:16.

In Genesis 2:24, we see that marriage was established before the Church, created to mirror the covenant relationship between God and His people. It is a sacred bond that reflects humility, sacrificial love, and mutual pursuit of one another’s highest good. This covenant sets the tone for how we, as the Bride, are to relate to Christ—with reverence, dedication, and readiness. As Jesus declared that He was going to prepare a place for us, we, His Bride, must also prepare ourselves—living in purity, faithfulness, and expectation, for His return.
