"The Mind of Christ in You"
When God puts his spirit in us, He puts his mind in us. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says, "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." What is freely given to us when we accept God, is His grace; this means that God wants us to understand the gift of grace by receiving Christ's mind in us, which is a transformation that turns us into new creatures.
Through scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 2:1-16, and Philippians 2:5, Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reminds us that God is a spirit and that we must be spirit-born to receive His spirit through the mind of Christ.
When we fail to love one another, show love to our enemies, honor families and marriages, and live a holy and acceptable life, it indicates that our thoughts are aligned with the ways of the world rather than being in accordance with the mind of Christ.
As we allow the mind of Christ to dwell within us, we open ourselves up to embrace God’s will over our own. This decision empowers us to fight for our faith, giving us the strength to achieve victory, all the while understanding that with God, all things are indeed possible. Even in this seemingly hopeless world, there is hope through the mind of Christ, which is God's wisdom, a force that surpasses human understanding, making the impossible possible through faith in Him.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together, guiding us toward understanding how to cast down every thought that rises against God by receiving the mind of Christ.
