Sunday Worship - "Refocus on the Things of God" PART 2
Isaiah 3:10 says, "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings."
Senior Pastor Travis Tullis continued to remind us to "Refocus on the things of God" as we build on the foundation already established by Jesus Christ. The focus scriptures are Isaiah 3:1-17, Isaiah 3:24-26, and 4:1-4.
Many nations have fallen because they have failed to produce great leaders. Honorable, wise, and mighty leaders no longer existed because the people did not heed God's Word, so His judgment came down upon the nation. Isaiah 3:5 states, "And the people shall be oppressed, everyone by another, and everyone by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable."
When Isaiah described the Lord's judgment to come upon the people of Judah, he told everyone that God would remove His provisions and resources because of their open sins. These sins, which were committed without shame or concealment, led to spiritual and moral decay. Consequently, if we as believers do not warn the people to turn from our wicked ways, this biblical truth will be true for our nation. On the other hand, those that are walking in righteousness will be covered from the darkness of the world.
Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together by encouraging believers to keep our focus on the things of God while we serve in His house.
