Sunday Worship "Victory Is Assured"

Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Pastor Derrek Kegler encouraged us to remember that if we allow ourselves to walk in the Spirit, then "Victory Is Assured" through Jesus Christ. The focus scriptures are Romans 8:1-7, 8:35-37, Philippians 4:13, and Genesis 50:20.

If victory is assured, why do we act as if it's not? "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:2-4. These scriptures remind us of the importance of walking in the Spirit versus walking in our fleshy, carnal minds. When we walk in our flesh, we are not accepting the victory that God has assured us through Christ who gave His life so we can now have eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

Thank you, Pastor Kegler, for giving us this word from the Lord. This will allow us to go forward and higher together by reminding us to remember that victory is assured to every believer in Christ Jesus.
