"Doing God's Will"
As it is written, in John 4:34, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
Senior Pastor Travis Tullis explains through scriptures John 4:27-37, that we are to allow the Lord to nourish our soul while we are “Doing God’s Will.”
Nourishment is what we need to be healthy. It is to help us thrive and make us stronger and better. When we are hungry and thirsty, we need nourishment to feed us and keep our bodies strong. Similarly, God’s word is nourishment to our souls and when you do His will, you will encounter His presence which brings you back to life and fills you with His living water.
Our encounters with Jesus are so wonderful that we must take advantage of every opportunity we receive so we can proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. The purpose of our lives is to glorify God and enjoy His gifts; this is the good news to proclaim to the world. Once we accept God’s purpose, we can do His will with full joy, allowing Him to fill us with His living water, giving us strength in a dry land.
While we are in the holiday seasons, we don’t have to struggle because of the dark moments we encounter during this year because when we focus on Jesus’s light we can receive the gifts of grace, mercy, and love. Thank you, Senior pastor Tullis, for leading us to go forward and higher together by knowing that we can receive full joy by doing God’s will.
