Sunday Service -“A Mind to Build” Part 5
In part five of “A Mind to Build,” titled “Building Beyond Ourselves: Leaving a Legacy for the Next Generation,” Pastor Derrek Kegler reminds us that the greatest legacy we can leave is a lifestyle that reflects Jesus Christ. The message is supported by Psalm 78:1-8, Hosea 4:1-6, Matthew 5:16, Deuteronomy 6:7, 2 Timothy 2:2, and Proverbs 13:22.
Leaving a legacy for the next generation takes more than occasional acts of faith; it calls for a daily commitment to live as citizens of God’s Kingdom. Psalm 78:1–8 urges God’s people to proclaim His mighty works from one generation to the next, while Hosea 4:1–6 warns of the consequences when a generation neglects His truth and loses the knowledge of God. Building beyond ourselves, then, begins with staying rooted in God’s Word and living as people transformed by His presence.
Thank you, Pastor Kegler, for giving us this powerful word from God. This will allow us to go forward and higher together and will remind us that we are called to be fruitful image bearers. We can now understand how to develop a mind to build as we become people who bare lasting fruit in God’s Kingdom community.
