Sunday Service - "Fruitful Through the Cross" Part 4

Mar 29, 2026    Sr. Pastor Travis M. Tullis

In the fourth part of the “Fruitful Through the Cross” series, titled “From Palms To The Cross,” Senior Pastor Travis Tullis examines Luke 19:37-38, which recounts Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with the crowd declaring, “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” The message also references key scriptures, including Matthew 21:1-11, Matthew 27:22-23, and John 18:36.

Although the crowd acknowledged Jesus’s power in Luke 19:37–38, they did not fully understand His greater purpose. They witnessed His miracles but failed to grasp the spiritual assignment God had entrusted. In the same way, we sometimes fail to understand what God is doing in our own lives, especially when things do not go as we expect.

As a result, we must learn not only to celebrate Jesus when our prayers are answered, but also to remain faithful when they are not. Jesus is not simply looking for our praise in moments of victory; He desires our surrender in moments of disappointment. True worship is not based on outcomes of transactions but on our relationship with the Lord as we follow Him with full hearts surrendered.

Thank you, Senior Pastor Tullis, for leading us forward and higher together and for reminding us that we are called to be fruitful image bearers to fulfill God’s original design. Through the cross, by denying ourselves and learning to surrender to His will, we become people who bare lasting fruit in His Kingdom Community.
