Sunday Worship - "Connecting to Abide"

John 15:4 says, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." Abiding is staying connected and as we abide in Jesus we are connected to the one who calms our fears and allows us to become overcomers.

Senior Pastor Travis Tullis reminded us that we must abide in Jesus Christ to stay connected to His Kingdom. The focus scriptures are John 15:1-5, John 15:12-15 and Psalms 1:1-4

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:4. These scriptures remind us how we can be "Connecting to abide," to the Holy Spirit. John 15:7 reminds us, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." Through our prayers, study of God’s Word, reflection, and staying active with the faith community, we can abide and remain connected to the redeemer, allowing us to overcome our trials and tribulations.
